 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Joanna Noyes, an actress as well as Jan Steen, a director and actor. She is of Dutch and Scottish origin.



 



 Steen is also an animal rights activist and environmentalist, apart from her entertainment business. She is a strong supporter of David Suzuki and the World Society for the Protection of Animals. She is certified to dive and has been trained in a variety of circus arts, including stilt-walking, fire-twirling, and stilt-walking.
